Every name on your list has exactly the same chance of being picked, and the draw uses your device’s secure random generator rather than anything that can be predicted or rigged. If you are running several rounds — a raffle, prize draw or rota — remove each winner after they are drawn so the same name cannot come up twice.
Tips for a smooth draw
Paste a whole list in one go rather than typing names one by one, and check for duplicates first if each person should appear once. For multiple winners, draw repeatedly with winners removed; to keep everyone in for every round, simply leave them in the list.
